We’re looking for an experienced, creative UI/UX designer to join our crew. Someone that resonates with our philosophy that good design both looks good and works well. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced front-end web developer to join our team. You’ll be tasked with combining form and function to create engaging, intuitive, UX bliss on the web. Partnering with our in-house development, content, and design team, you can expect and should be comfortable with the following:
You will be working on a variety of content-based sites that are almost always built in WordPress. Existing experience of the WordPress CMS is imperative for this role.
You will be regularly converting Sketch and/or Photoshop mockups to responsive WordPress websites. You should also be comfortable making modifications to existing sites and developing static HTML templates for web and email clients.
We test rigorously on all devices (desktop and mobile), so you must be comfortable testing on all modern browsers, as well as on iOS and Android devices, both during development and during the Q&A process.
You will be migrating WordPress websites from our staging server to live hosting environments, setting up databases, managing DNS and email changes, etc.
You will communicate regularly with clients and the other members of our team, both in-office and remote. This is not a “just let me code” position, and it will be imperative that you are comfortable communicating and collaborating with developers, our staff, and directly with clients.
You will regularly use our project management, communication, and collaboration tools (Basecamp, Slack, Dropbox, Google Drive, Bugherd, etc.)

If you’ve got a creative eye, a knack for engagement, a wealth of ideas, and a drive to meet and exceed big goals, you might be the perfect fit for our Marketing and Social/Content Internship. This position is specifically for Summer 2016, but if it’s a good fit, we’ll extend it into the summer. And if you really blow us away…who knows?
What We Want
As a member of the team, we’re looking for someone who takes initiative, hits the ground running with ideas, exhibits a strong work ethic, follows through, and comes to work with a “can do” attitude from day one. This isn’t a “grunt work” internship that’ll have you filing and answering the phone. Specifically, you should have experience managing a variety of social accounts from a “brand” perspective – that could include your personal brand or one from a previous position.
What You Can Expect
The internship is 20 hours per week (paid), and is eligible for college credit, if applicable. Our office is collaborative and open, with work stations ranging from our reclaimed wood conference table and traditional desks to comfy couches and bean bag chairs. We work together, communicate often, and almost always have a Spotify playlist playing throughout the office.
2+ years of college under your belt – we’re looking for rising juniors, seniors, or recent grads.
Knowledge of/experience with Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
Top-notch writing skills.
A design-ish, trend-spotting, creative eye.
A grasp on social analytics.
You might have (bonus):
Experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Experience with social media marketing tools (ex. Buffer, Hootsuite, etc.).
